Facts and Figures

Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities, attracting talent from around the globe. Its strategic geographic location between Europe and Asia, a tax-free environment and the government's strong support of market-diversification has made Dubai one of the biggest re-exporting hubs worldwide.

This environment makes DIHF an ideal event for the equestrian trade from around the world to showcase their products and services, increase brand awareness and meet with potential customers from the Middle East, Turkey, Iran, Africa, the MENA region and the Indian Subcontinent.

Inaugurated in 2005, DIHF has quickly shown its strength in the equestrian field and has experienced a 250% increase in exhibition space within three years. The 2009 event attracted over 150 exhibitors from 37 countries and 8,041 visitors from 61 countries, including trade, royalty, VIPs and the public.

To further heighten the uniqueness of the event, additional features have been included such as a riding/show jumping arena, a Veterinarian Networking Session, an international equine art gallery, a horse auction and much more.

Held alongside DIHF is the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship (DIAHC) - a competition displaying the beauty, agility and heritage of purebred Arabian. The Championship, which is one of the richest of its kind in the world since His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced the increase of the prize money to USD 4 million for DIAHC 2008. The Championship attracts the largest gathering of royalty, and enjoys the participation of some of the world's finest purebred Arabian horses.
