Home to the world’s richest horse race

Over the years Dubai World Trade Centre has been instrumental in developing Dubai’s position as a leading events destination and remains at the very heart of the city’s central business and leisure district.

The UAE racing market trebled in size between 2005 and 2010. Notable GCC developments include new facilities at Nad Al Sheba, grandstands in Sharjah, Ghantoot and Abu Dhabi, the racecourse in Al Ain, a new Polo Club in Dubai and new racecourses in Bahrain and Qatar.

World forage trade volumes doubled overnight when the UAE tendered the world to import, with forage imports expected to increase from 1.1 million tonnes in 2011 to 3 million tonnes by 2030.

The Middle East, particularly the racing nations of the U.A.E. and other Gulf States are proving to be successful targets for exporters of racing and endurance related products such as feed, supplements and bedding and saddlery items.

A leader in the equestrian world

Dubai, world-renowned for its pioneering property development, is home to the internationally renowned and acclaimed Godolphin, with the city continually strengthening its position as a leader in the equestrian world.

Some of its more recent record-breaking projects include:

Arabian Ranches : A tailor-made residence for equestrian enthusiasts, Arabian Ranches offers a full service Equestrian Centre at the heart of the community which is inspired by the bold heritage of the Arabian horse and themed around Andalusian style architecture. The on-site facilities and amenities include a Spanish style Polo Club, complete with lounges and dining areas, riding gear and tack shop, spa, swimming pool and many more recreational facilities.

Dubai also hosts the following international equestrian events every year:
